Adelheid was brewed by Brewery de HopHemel. It was originally the brewery's 30th beer, but due to its success, a second version was released. For this second version of Adelheid, they used oak, with the oak chips soaked in Calvados and then aged on a brandy barrel sourced from distillery/brewery Het Aerts Paradijs in Koersel. The result is a deliciously full-bodied, alcoholic beer with hints of apple, oak and spirit.
