Dublin Liberties Copper Alley 10 Year is the second release in The Dublin Liberties Irish Whisky series. A fine 10-year-old whiskey whose journey began with a maturation process in bourbon barrels. It then went through its final period in sherry casks specifically selected by master distiller Darryl McNally. This is well reflected in its aroma which begins with delicious sherry notes with a soft cream layer followed by a flash of hot cinnamon. A spicy finish and also a pleasant invitation to taste it. Perhaps a slight deception as there is no cinnamon to trace in its flavor but more a blissfully bitter tone of dark chocolate with soft sweet raisins. These are succeeded by just a hint of oily walnut. Its finish lingers in the nutty notes, but leans more toward almond. This becomes more apparent the longer you hold it in your mouth as it slowly fades. This Irish whiskey has an alcohol content of 46%.
