Girardin kriek is made with water, barley malt, wheat, min. 150 g. cherries with stone per liter of finished product, hops. The beer is not sweet, but due to its sour "touchke" it is extremely thirst-quenching. The brewery dates back to 1845, as part of a nobleman's estate. Anno 1882, the Girardin family bought the farm/brewery, which still operates the business.
