Bunnahabhain 18 Year is a Scottish single malt whiskey that comes from Islay, an island west of the Scottish mainland known for its smoky whiskies. Available in a 70cl bottle, the whisky was allowed to mature in sherry casks for 18 years before being bottled, which is evident in the aroma and taste of the final product. Because the maturation took place along the coast of the island, the drink also acquires a recognizable maritime character. Hints of dried fruit, sweet toffee and nuts open the aroma. You will also recognize more subtle characteristics of leather, sea salt and wood. The taste is quite accessible in nature. It is characterized with influences of sherry and recurring notes of oak, sea salt and toffee. Spices, in addition to smoke, come out well in the finish. Bunnahabhain 18 Year has an alcohol content of 46%.
